IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tommy
Vice
April 25, 1942 – May 14, 2025
Everett Thomas "Tommy" Vice, 83, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead.
Born in Fleming County on April 25, 1942, Tommy was the son of the late Clyde Vice and the late Ruby Lee Harmon Vice. His rebirth came in 1996 after watching a televised evangelistic service by Rev. Billy Graham.
Tommy was a self-employed electrician, plumber, and carpenter. In 2007, he and his wife became owners of The Picket Fence, an antique shop in Flemingsburg. They were owners for 17 years. He loved visiting flea markets, auctions, and yard sales where he always tried to barter for a better price. His favorite thing about the Picket Fence was teasing and picking on the customers. He enjoyed them all.
Another passion for Tommy was traveling and camping as they visited all 50 states, all the Canadian provinces, and briefly in Mexico. They also visited 11 European countries during the summer of 1990.
Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Army, a veteran during Vietnam. He also served as a Fleming County deputy sheriff under G. W. White.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Graves Vice; his three sisters, Frances Louise Dailey, Daisy Lee Stanfield, and Aleta Smith; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother Ruby and his father Clyde, Tommy was preceded in death by his three brothers, Denny Ray Vice, Edward Burton Vice, and Jerome Douglas Vice.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Joseph officiating.
Tommy will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.
W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 will be performing military rites.
Pallbearers include Ricky Dailey, Kent Stanfield, Matthew Vice, Clarence Gallagher, Tommy Carpenter, and Justin Warren. Honorary pallbearers include Chase Ramey, Colton Ramey, Hayden Smith, Kyler Smith, Hunter Dailey, Dylan Stanfield, Ty Kremann, and Cameron Dailey.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 19, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation in Tommy's memory to the charity of one's choosing.
