Obituary

Travis Clay Rye, 41, of Flemingsburg, passed away on January 1, 2017, in Campbell County.


Born on April 26, 1975, in Rowan County, he was the son of Shirlene McCleese.


Travis worked in construction as a contractor. He served in the United States Army and had been stationed in Alaska. He liked fishing and listening to music. His children were his top priority.


He is survived by his sons, Isaiah Rye and Connor Rye; his daughters, Lincoln Rye and Madison Rye; his granddaughter, Delilah Overbey; his mother, Shirlene; his brother, Freddie Gulley; his sister, Kenda Gammell along with several cousins.


Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.


A private funeral service for his family will be held on Thursday. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery in Lewis County.
