Vicky Kay Day, 71, of Maysville, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center.
Born in Maysville on September 28, 1954, her father was the late Forrest Muse, and her mother was the late Susan Kinder Muse.
Vicky was a Registered Nurse (R.N.) at Saint Claire Regional in Morehead and a supervisor at Meadowview Regional in Maysville. Despite a long-extended illness, she was able to pour love into others and always let her light shine for the Lord. She loved flowers, shopping, reading, and going to church. She was a member of the Refinery Church in Maysville and an honorary member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Vicky is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Roessler and husband Rick; her son, Travis Lee Cole; her six grandchildren, Gavin, Tori, Isaiah, Lily, Adilyn, and Elijah; and her two great grandchildren, Brantley and Charlee. She is also survived by five of her siblings, Beverly Walker, Rick Muse, Philip Muse, Cheryl Martin, and Scott Muse; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her mother Susan and her father Forrest, Vicky was preceded in death by two of her children, Amy Michelle Cole and Kristi Dawn Cole; and one of her siblings, Randy Muse.
A graveside service will begin at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2026, at Muse Family Cemetery with Rev. Dave Hopkins officiating.
Pallbearers for Vicky include Travis Cole, Philip Muse, Scott Muse, Rick Roessler, Gavin Roessler, and Isaiah Roessler.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
In place of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Vicky to the Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056).
