Viola Catherine Mineer-Williams, passed away peacefully at the age of 96, on June 27, 2011 at Springfield Community Hospital, Springfield, Ohio, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on April 22nd, 1915 , in Fleming County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Amanda (Hamm) Mineer. She was preceded in death by her husband John T Williams, son Elmer Lee Williams, sons-in-law, Donald J. Dyer, George W. Maddox, and grandson, John E. Maddox. She is survived by her daughters, Maxine Maddox of Enon Ohio, Frances Dyer of Muncie, Indiana, Eleanor (Hubert) Dyer of Ripley Ohio, Jane Perkins of Springfield Ohio, and sons James (Sandra) Williams and Alan (Kathy) Williams both of Springfield Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; 18 great-great -grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Saturday July 2, 2011 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Friday July 2 at the funeral home. Her grandsons David and Daryl Dyer, James and John Williams, Ryan and Chris Williams and John Perkins will serve as pall bearers.
