Vivian Aline Heflin Sellers, 83, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Aline was born October 6, 1934, at Muses Mills in Fleming County, to the late Jesse R. and Mary Smalley Gulley.
Aline helped raise her eight children on a dairy farm, then became a childcare provider for 15 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband of 35 years, Leslie Heflin; her two sons, Bill Heflin and Gary Stephen Heflin; and her grandson, B.J. Heflin. She was also preceded by her siblings, Alma "Cricket" Muse, Mamie Swim, Bea Rice, Redia Helphenstine, Flora Rice, Naomi Beckett, Fredia Helterbrand, Tommy Gulley and Bill Gulley.
Aline is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Ike Sellers; her children, Paula (Howard) Kegley, Randy (Kim) Heflin, Jack Heflin, Angela (Jim) Graham all of Fleming County, Anthony (Sheila) Heflin of Stearns, KY, Mike (Robin) Heflin of Bardstown, KY, and Joyce Heflin of West Palm Beach, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie (Danielle) Kegley, Josh (Erica) Kegley, Stephen (Michelle) Heflin, Terri Michelle (Kevin) Combs, Scott Heflin, Les Heflin, Chris Humphries, Aaron Humphries, and Samantha Humphries. Step grandchildren include: Jacob Coffee, Laini Sartin, and Amanda Gutzweller. Great grandchildren include: Dalton and Cody Kegley, Carter Heflin, Lauren Combs, Trace Heflin, Tristan and Wyatt Humphries, and Alaina Sorrell. Siblings include: Paul Gulley of Muncie, IN, Tracy Gulley of OK, and Nina Hopper of Flemingsburg.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, November 16th, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056) and/or Flemingsburg Freewill Baptist Church (71 Asbury Lane, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041).
