William R. Gilliam, 86, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday Morning February 25, 2013 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born October 2, 1926 in Elliott County to the late David and Orca Gilliam.

Mr. Gilliam was a retired after 25 years of service as an electrician at Browning Manufacturing. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Gilliam was a life long farmer and woodworker.

Survivors include his children, Lynn (Terry) Bernard of Flemingsburg, KY and William Michael Gilliam of Fairfield, IL.; Grandchildren, Cheri(Tony) Argo of Ewing, Trippy(Cindi) Gooding of Maysville and Beth (Chad)Jeffries of Flemingsburg; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Koehler Gilliam who passed away in 2008
