Obituary

Woodrow Wilson Lee, 95, of Flemingsburg, Ky died peacefully on July 13, 2010 of natural causes with loved ones by his side.

Mr. Lee was born on April 7, 1915 to Fletcher and Annie Lee in Wallingford Ky. He married his sweetheart Gertrude (Hickerson) in 1925. They enjoyed a happy and loving marriage for 72 years until Gertrude's death in 2007.

Woodrow loved fishing, eating , and working jigsaw puzzles. He was an avid farmer. During his lifetime Woodrow owned and operated a 50 acre farm a few miles outside of Flemingsburg. In addition to farming, Woodrow worked for Boone Funeral Home. He was once the owner / operator of Valley View Service station, and he later retired from the Ky State Highway Department.

His life will be remembered by his many friends and his loving family including; his son Philip (Carol) of Fleming County, KY; sister Jessie Newdigate of Greenville, SC; sister Hazel Conner of Cincinnati, OH; grandson Jeff (Joy) of Orem, UT; grandson Greg (Casey) of Taylor Mill, KY; and, a multitude of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 15 from 6-9 pm at Boone Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg, KY. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16 at Wallingford United Methodist Church where Woodrow was a member for 75 years.
