Amanda E. Woodson, 97, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born in Poplar Plains on October 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Williams.
Amanda had worked for the Flemingsburg Dry Cleaners and was a volunteer Foster Grandparent for Flemingsburg Elementary School. She loved attending the local Senior Center. She was a member of Strawberry United Methodist Church and attended Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church.
Amanda is survived by her son, Paul Woodson of Cincinnati; her six grandchildren, Nicole, Monica (Ray), Michelle, Joseph (Amelie), John (Sally), and Kim (Jeff); her six great-grandchildren, Bryce, Gavin, Mason, Naima, Zoe, and Jayden; and son-in-law, Oliver.
In addition to her parents, Amanda was preceded in death by her son, Joseph; her daughter, Shirley; her sister, Nannie; and her brother-in-law, Don.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating.
Amanda will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 2, at Boone-Nickell.
At the family’s request, all in attendance are required to wear face masks.
