Betty J. Ruggles Davis, 70, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Pioneer Trace Nursing.
Born in Fleming County on June 23, 1950, Betty was the daughter of the late Johnny D. Ruggles and the late Rose Marie Ross Ruggles.
Betty was a graduate of Fleming County High School class of 1968. She was a graduate of Northern Kentucky Vocational School and had the proud honor of passing her state boards in Pediatrics first in her class. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Life Care Center along with St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fairview.
She is survived by her sisters, Ida Mae Ruggles, Florence (Steve) Hickerson, and Linda (Larry) Herrington; her nephew, Jonathan (Kelly) Herrington; her niece, Rose Ann (Randall) Deaton; her two great nephews, Lincoln and Silas Herrington; and a special cousin, Mary Ann Hopper.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Ruggles; her sisters, Ethel Ann Ruggles, Pauline Willis, Wilma Ruggles, and Mary Emmons; and her special niece, Alicia Herrington.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday July 18, 2020, at Fleming County Cemetery with Pastor Todd Wiley officiating.
In compliance with state mandate, masks are required for those in attendance.
