Robert Linville "Butch" Storey" 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his residence. He was the widower of Jacqueline "Jackie" Storey.
Born in Springfield, Ohio on July 14, 1940, Butch was the son of the late Noel Storey and the late Mildred Linville Storey.
Butch proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 and was a Staff Sergeant. In 1964, he graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor's in Science; in 1976, he graduated Xavier with a Master's in Business Administration. Butch had worked at Lakewood Food Town and his family's farm. He was a lieutenant of the Lexington Civitan Club in the 1980s. He served on the Fleming County Ambulance Board from 1997 to 2002. He was the regional audit manager for State National Bank. He was a loan review specialist for Peoples Bank. He was a certified fraud examiner. He was a member of the Flemingsburg United Methodist Church.
Butch is survived by his daughter, Carole Margaret Adams; his seven grandchildren, Robert Adams, Shawn Adams (Courtney Riley), Shayla Sparks (August Warder), Braylin Sparks (Chase Jackson), Noah Sparks, Kaylee Kilgore, and Kloe Kilgore; his great grandchild, Annaliese Adams; and one great grandchild on the way.
In addition to Jackie, his wife of 46 years who passed in 2020; his mother Mildred; his father Noel; Butch was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Kilgore; and his son-in-law, Thomas Adams.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Jackson officiating.
Butch will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 will be performing military rites.
Pallbearers include Robert Adams, Shawn Adams, Noah Sparks, Chase Jackson, August Warder, and Vernon Barton. Honorary pallbearers include Bonnie Fleming, Jimmy Fleming, Judy Sapp, David Fleming, and Beth Davis.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday February 15, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
