Cleo Preston Bratcher, 85, of Flemingsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was the recent widow of Walter Lee Bratcher.
Born in Grayson County on April 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Holbert Scott Preston and the late Caroline Minton Preston.
Cleo had worked as a quality control Inspector for Brown & Williamson Tobacco, and had been a caregiver to close friends. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, working puzzle books and watching television.
She is survived by her children, Paula (husband Martin) Lutz and Kerry Bratcher; her grandchildren, Jamie (Monica) Lutz, Christy (Bryan) Manning, Sheldon (Daulton) Bratcher, Preston Bratcher, Scottie Bratcher, Jr., and Courtney Bratcher; along with her great grandchildren, Carter, Kenley, Reagan, Landen, Zoe, Adam, Jackson, Hayze and Nolan. Cleo is also survived by her sister Judy (Ted) Fernander. Cleo was a surrogate mother to Rocky, Lavanna, Shelly, Gary, Nowanda, Tony, Doug, Jenny, Kenny, Timmy, Chris, Cindy, Carolyn, Debbie, Lisha, Larry Pam, Ova and Ann.
In addition to her husband Walter who passed in August, Cleo was preceded in death by her son, Scottie Bratcher; and six siblings.
Services for Cleo will be privately cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
