Debra Brehm Obituary

Debra Kay Jones Brehm, 63, of Flemingsburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

Born in Maysville on November 26, 1960, she was a daughter of Geneva Brown Stephens and the late Scottie Jones.

Debra was a 1978 graduate of Fleming County High School, continuing her education at Morehead State University where she completed her degree in nursing.  Serving as a nurse for 36 years, she loved her job as a traveling nurse which allowed her the opportunity to visit many places across the United States.

She was an avid reader and a loyal follower of the University of Kentucky athletics.  She loved crafting and spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughter.

Debra is survived by her two children, Brad Miller and Aaron Miller; her granddaughter, Elizabeth (Landon) Watson; her great granddaughter, Mia Watson; her mother Geneva Stephens; her two sisters, Rhonda (John) Schwartz and Christi (Steven Davenport) Morgan; her brother, Andrew Jones; along with many special cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her father Scottie Jones, Debra was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Levi and Emma Jones; her maternal grandparents, William and Ida Mae Brown; and her aunt, Mary Lee Jones-Brannen Gehlhausen.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Fleming Mason RECC in Flemingsburg.
