Donna Mae Fryman, 63, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was the widow of Thomas Gene “Tommy” Fryman.
Born in Maysville on August 11, 1959, her parents were the late Thomas Jefferson and the late Mildred Mofford Jefferson.
Donna had been the Fleming County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Science for more than 30 years. She served as President of the Kentucky Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences as well as being an officer many times over for Epsilon Sigma Phi. She had served as Fleming County Tourism/Explore Fleming County President through the Fleming County Chamber of Commerce, and had served on the board for many years. In 2017, she was honored with being the Fleming County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
She is survived by her two sons, Ben Fryman and wife Caitlin of Flemingsburg and Daniel Fryman of Winchester; her brother, Donald Jefferson and wife Denise of Louisville; her niece, Nicole; her nephew, Phillip; and her extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents Thomas and Mildred and her husband Tommy who passed September 4, 2020, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Tom” Jefferson.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Grant Cannoy officiating.
Donna will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell.
