Duane Flora

Clifton Duane Flora, 46, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Fleming County on July 29, 1975, he was the son of Eric Wayne Flora and Shirley McCarty Flora.

Duane was a lineman and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local 760).  He was also a member of the Tilton Christian Church.

In addition to his parents Eric and Shirley, Duane is survived by his wife, Delta Dawn Madden Flora; his three children, Jesse Flora (Elizabeth Hunt), Meranda Flora Merson and husband John, Zachery Jarrells (Jessica Edington); his grandchild, Beckham Wayne Merson.  He is also survived by his brothers, Marvin Flora and wife Rita, Troy Flora and wife Lisa; two special aunts who were very dear, Janice Flora and Dorothy Faris; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; along with many extended family members and friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Juanita McCarty; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Maude Flora; and his great grandparents, Sam and Cora Moran, Harrison and Oliva Fryman.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Tilton Christian Church with Jim Wilson officiating.   

Duane will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Chris Mitchell, Chris Florence, Joey Porter, Josh Rigdon, Jerry Wayne Kissick, Shannon Taylor, Mike Thomas, Mike Johnson, Robbie Skaggs, and Jason Story.

Honorary pallbearers include Tyler Frederick, Harrison Flora, Morgan Hall, Waylon Madden, Blaken Madden, Wesson Smith, Michael Truban, and Kenneth Johnson.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, at the church located on Tilton Road, Flemingsburg, KY.
