Edna Hilterbrand, 95, of the Big Run community, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
Born in Fleming County on March 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Buckley and the late Eliza Buckley.
Edna was a farmer and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Big Run Community Church.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Beverly Gossett; her 12 grandchildren, Scotty (Betty) Hilterbrand, Mischelle Planck, Jamey Hilterbrand, Jeremy (Angela) Hilterbrand, David Gulley, Curtis Gulley, Dessie Trent, Amanda Gulley, Misty Dawn Ward, Dustin Hilterbrand, Cody Paul Hilterbrand, Haley (Coty) Coffey; her 15 great-grandchildren, Tyler (Rachel) Carpenter, Sierra Carpenter, Chris Gulley, Lexus Gulley, Kierra Trent, Hannah Gulley, Braxton Planck, Alyssa Hilterbrand, Dakota Hilterbrand, Leland Ward, Skyleigh Ward, Xailee Shearer, Lola Coffey, Levi Hilterbrand and Eleanor Hilterbrand; and her three great-great-grandchildren, Bentley Carpenter, Bristol King and Finley Ward.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hilterbrand; her two sons, James “Jimmy” Hilterbrand, and Phillip Hilterbrand; her 10 siblings; and her son-in-law, Lon Gossett.
The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., August 7, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Reeves officiating.
Edna will be laid to rest at Big Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Darrell Planck, Steve Newsom, Scott Hilterbrand, Dakota Hilterbrand, Coty Coffey, and Dustin Hilterbrand. Honorary pallbearers include Cody Hilterbrand, Jamey Hilterbrand, and Braxton Planck.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday August 7, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
