Eleanor W. Dyer, 79, of Ripley, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
Born in Tilton, Ky. on February 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John T. Williams and the late Viola C. Mineer Williams.
Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1564 in Maysville, Ky. She loved her family and enjoyed vacationing with her family in the Smoky Mountains. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, and playing games. She was "the best Euchre player around".
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hubert Dyer; her three children, Darrell (Tammy) Dyer, Sharon Minish, and David Dyer; her seven grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two siblings, James “Dickie” (Sandra) Williams and Allen “Pete” (Kathy) Williams; her brother-in-law, Vernon Perkins; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Minish; her siblings, Elmer Lee “Bub” (Jean) Williams, Anneva Maxine “Sis” (Bill) Maddox, Abbie Francis (Donald) Dyer, and Jane Perkins.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bowlin officiating.
Eleanor will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Darrell Dyer, Jeff Wheeler, Tammy Spillman, Tammy Wheeler, Doug Dyer, and Joe Hauke. Honorary pallbearers include David Dyer and Scott Wykoff.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickel located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041
