Erma Lee Mason

Erma Lee Cunningham Mason, 83, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Saint Claire Regional Medical Center, in Morehead.   She was the widow of Clarence William Mason.

Born in Fort Thomas on February 17, 1940, her father was the late Arch William Cunningham and her mother was the late Frona Dixon Cunningham.

Erma was a homemaker and a farmer who had worked for Heck’s Department Store and was a house cleaner in Bracken County.  She attended Wallingford Christian Church.

Erma is survived by her four children, Robert Mason, Carol Ann (Donald) Workman, Penny Jo (Dale) Hord, and Mary Beth Mason; her daughter-in-law, Patty Mason; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends. 

In addition to her husband Clarence and her parents Arch and Frona, Erma was preceded in death by her son, Billy Allen “Bondo” Mason; her  two daughters, Joyce Marie Mason and Linda Sue Mason Highfield;  and seven of her siblings, Donnie Cunningham, Sarah Linville, Della Mae Linville, Archy Cunningham, Robert Cunningham, Freddie Cunningham, and Arthur David Cunningham.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Redmon officiating.

Erma will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Zachary Workman, Willie Hord, Kyle Hord, Preston Workman, Dillon Mason, Aldo Hernandez Mason, and Donnie Workman.

Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
