Florence Oliver Whitt, 96, of Plummers Landing, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center. She was the widow of Clyde Whitt.
Born in Elliott County on April 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Robert G. Oliver and the late Rissie Fannin Oliver.
Florence spent 76 years of her life in Plummers Landing where she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to be outside working in her yard, her garden, and with her pets. Actively involved in the family farming operation, she also worked at the Sewing Factory, Randall’s, and retired from U. S. Shoe in Flemingsburg.
Florence is survived by her son, Clyde (wife Shirley) Whitt, Jr. of Lexington; her daughter, Junice Whitt Foster of Maysville; her grandson, Brent D. Fields of Cold Spring; along with several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
In addition to her husband Clyde who passed in 2014, Florence was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Oliver.
All services are being privately cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
Florence will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
