James Robert Eubanks, 79, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Saint Joseph Main in Lexington, Ky.
Born in Fleming County on November 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Clifton D. Eubanks and the late Ausel Lee Tribby Eubanks.
James worked as a carpenter by trade for Denver Construction and Bruner Lumber Company also worked for Crain Warehouse during tobacco season. He was a member of the Fleming County Cattleman’s Association and the American Trap Association. He also attended the Tilton Christian Church. James enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool when he was not taking care of his cows. He also loved his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his three children, Laura Story, James Eubanks II, Genevieve Wallingford and husband Martin; his five grandchildren, Jamie H. Eubanks, Alexis F. Story, Ashley Wallingford, Wesley Wallingford and Micheala Bradshaw; his great grandchild, Jase Eubanks; two of his siblings, Jerry (Peggy) Eubanks and Patsy (Kenny Hickerson) Arnold; and his special nephew, Leslie Arnold; along with many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Melinda Hamilton and Leonard Eubanks; his grandchild, James Eubanks III; and his wife, Janice Eubanks.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Eubanks and Bro. Jim Wilson officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Boone-Nickell.
