JoAnn Colgan Rawlings, 71, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Beechburg on March 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late James Benjamin Colgan and the late Edith Beulah Stafford Colgan.
JoAnn owned and operated a consignment store on Courthouse Hill in Flemingsburg. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Church of Christ.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of seven years, Bill Rawlings; her two children, Sam Mason and wife Amanda of Morehead, Tammy McDavid and husband Brian of Kingsport, Tenn.; her four grandchildren, Landrick Mason, Milyn Mason, Sam McDavid, and Cacey McDavid; special nephew, Jordan; special nieces, Allyson, Kim, and Cathy; and great-niece, Emily. She is also survived by her two siblings, Charles “Shug” Colgan and wife Patricia, and Bill Colgan and wife Berty; her sister-in-law, Janice Colgan; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her brother, James Colgan.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Garrett officiating.
JoAnn will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bill Rawlings, Bill Colgan, Shug Colgan, Sam Mason, Brian McDavid, and Jordan Colgan. Honorary pallbearers include Landrick, Milyn, Sam, Cacey, Allyson, Kim, and Cathy.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell.
