John Powell Trimble, also known as “John P.” or “Johnny Trimble”, 67, of Mason County, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice of Hope in Portsmouth Ohio.
Born in Maysville, Ky. at the Hayswood Hospital on January 28, 1956, he was the son of the late John Powell Trimble Jr. and the late Vera Irene Shepherd Trimble Reeder.
John was educated in the Fleming County Schools and graduated from Fleming County High School. He was a farmer for his entire life, and really enjoyed the many things attributed to farming. His farming was mostly in the Nepton community of Fleming County.
John is survived by his two siblings, Shelby C. (Garnet) Trimble of Maysville, Ky. and Katherine Tumey of Marion, Ohio. He is also survived by his four nephews and one niece: Darrell (Anna) Tumey, Danny (Kathy Ann) Tumey, Kathy Jo Herr, Shelby Scott (Kristi) Trimble, Bryant Keith (Jenni) Trimble; along with many great nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Jo Herr officiating.
John will be laid to rest in Wedonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Darrell Tumey, Danny Tumey, Scott Trimble, Keith Trimble, Jarrod Darnell, and Tanner Floyd.
Visitation will be 12 noon, until the hour of service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
