Judy Kay McGinnis, 71, of Wallingford, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Nursing.
Born in Wallingford on November 25, 1951, her father was the late Walter Lee Howell and her mother was the late Myrtle Louise Clark Howell.
Judy was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of the Petersville Church of Christ where she also belonged to their Women’s Group.
Judy is survived by her husband, Freddy Lee McGinnis; her two daughters, Misty (Joe Dunaway) Holbrook and Amanda (Jeremy) Thomas; her stepdaughter, Tara (David) Jones; her 10 grandchildren, Kodie Zuschlag, Cameron (Maddie) Zuschlag, Carley (Taylor) Dunaway, Mason Wild, Alivia Wild, Levi Thomas, Rayleigh Thomas, Maddox Thomas, Cole Rager, and D.J. Jones; and one great grandchild, Josie Zuschlag. Judy is also survived by three of her siblings, Arnold Ray (Judy) Howell, Jackie Wayne (Loretta) Howell, and Connie Sue (Fred) Carpenter; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray “Calhoun” Thurman; her brother, Ronald Lee “Joe” Howell and her sister, Roberta “Bertie” Prater.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Petersville Church of Christ with Bro. Arnold Howell and Bro. Tom Mitchell officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest in Esham Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Dink Crawford, Albert Stamm, Joe Dunaway, Colton King, Brent Earls, and Dean Moore.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the church.
