Judy Kay Mullins, 65, of Lexington (formerly of Flemingsburg), passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at her residence. She was the widow of Rocky Mullins.
Born in Maysville on September 28, 1957, her parents were the late Harlan Clifton Jolly and the late Juanita McFarland Jolly Sorrell.
Judy enjoyed getting to travel, playing bingo, being around animals. She loved her family, especially her nephews. She enjoyed outings with her Class of 1975. She loved watching cooking and game shows. She was a former owner and operator of Sorrell’s Restaurant, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Old Masonic Home in Shelbyville, and worked alongside her husband as a farmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Mullins Richardson and husband Dave of Lexington; her brother, Billy Jolly and wife Cindy; her three nephews, William Ross Jolly, Clifton Andrew Jolly, and Mark Mullins; and her niece, Mindy Shelton; and her K-9 companions, Chuck and Bessie Sue.
In addition to Rocky, her husband who passed in October 2002 and her parents, Judy was preceded in death by niece, Anita Jolly Foister; and her in-laws, Anna and Everett Mullins.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Dave Richardson, Andrew Jolly, William Ross Jolly, Dakota Miller, Warren Hardy, and Daryl Miller. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Jolly.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
