Karen McRoberts

Karen McRoberts, 68, of Elizaville, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Fleming County Hospital.

Born in Mason County on August 31, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Omar Howard Gardner and the late Barbara Pollitt Gardner.

Karen worked as a Registered Nurse for Fleming County Hospital until her retirement after 40 years of service.   She enjoyed her Hospital Retiree Group outings.  She loved to travel and she loved getting to watch her grandsons play ball.  Karen loved playing the slot machines and loved Barry Manilow.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Danny McRoberts; her two children, Wes Daniel (Jennifer) McRoberts of Maysville and Christina Elaine (Tristan) McRoberts-Thomas of Cocoa, Fla; her two grandchildren, Chase and Cade McRoberts.   She is also survived by three of her siblings, Sherrie (Perry) Reed of Lenoir City, Tenn., Sheila Case of Tex., and Gary Graham of Ashland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her siblings, Mike Gardner and Nancye Kinnett.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home

Karen will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
