Leo Franklin Taylor, 71, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Flemingsburg on October 7, 1950, he was the son of the late Douglas Taylor and the late Carrie Louise Saunders Taylor.
Leo is survived by his two children, Deon Taylor and Carmen “Candy” (Jamie) Whaley; the mother of his children, Patsy Jackson Taylor; his four grandchildren, Toya Burns, Darion Burns, Serena Taylor, and Makayla Taylor. He is also survived by six of his siblings, Charlotte (Rev. James) Custard, Robert “Bobby” Taylor, Vivian Taylor, Charles Taylor, Rev. Randy Taylor, and Valerie Holman; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents Douglas and Carrie, he was preceded in death by two of his siblings, William Taylor and Albert Taylor.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating.
Leo will be laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include D. J. Taylor, Lamont Taylor, Henry Clark, Charles “Chick” Berry, Stevie Lofton, and Alan Mayberry. Gary Whidden will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be 11 a. m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., at the church located at 1856 Elizaville Road in Flemingsburg.
