Linda Carolyn Dyer, 77, of Nicholasville, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Fleming County on May 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Thelma James.
Linda had retired from the Fayette County Public Schools after 25 years of service as a school bus driver. She was a loving, caring, and giving woman who led by example. Her children will tell you she was the best mom ever and they just don’t make them like her anymore. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Jesus Name.
She is survived by her four daughters, Sherry King and husband Barry, Teresa Everman and husband Mitchell, Abby Brinegar and husband David, Michelle Briggs and husband Tracy; her nine grandchildren, Shane Dyer, Trista Dyer, Dallas Everman, Brittany King, Sabrina King, Curtis Everman, Chad Rowe, Shelby Rowe, Alexis Rowe; and her four great grandchildren, Arabella Brothers, Serenity Foley, Shanan Estepp, Adaline Dyer. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy Wagoner, Rhonda Sierra, Katherine Harn, Debbie Etheredge, Joe Muse, and Donnie James.
She was preceded in death by her mother Thelma; her husband, Lloyd Estill Dyer, Sr.; her son, Lloyd Estill Dyer, Jr.; and her brother, Jessie Taylor.
Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Sister Peggy Wagoner officiating.
Linda will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.
Pallbearers include David Brinegar, Mitchell Everman, Shane Dyer, Tracy Briggs, Doug Dyer, and Mitch Estepp.
Visitation will be 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
