Margaret G. Mitchell, 98, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. She was the widow of James Mitchell.
Born in Muses Mills on January 19, 1926, her father was the late Charles Ricketts and her mother was the late Lispie Bell.
Margaret had worked at U. S. Shoe Factory and Bon Ton Restaurant. She loved to cook and bake. She also loved music and square dancing. But most of all, she loved her family
Margaret is survived by her three children, Gary (Julie) Wilson of Arkansas, Deanna Aguaitis of Dayton, Ohio, and Connie Lee of Flemingsburg; her six grandchildren, Robyn (Jeff) Shipskie, Rick (Pam) Spurlock, Rodney (Dawn) Spurlock, Kelley (Chuck) Hicks, Christi (Alex) Ochs, and Brian Wilson; several great grandchildren; several great, great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her husband James and her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her two grandsons, Jacob Lee and Josh Rogers; and two of her siblings, Sue Eggers and Hobert Bell.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Trent Keeton officiating.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Alex Ochs, Brandon Osborne, Chuck Hicks, Dylan Hicks, Rodney Spurlock, and Rick Spurlock.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell.
