Mary Ann Lindberg, 76, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
Born in Logan, W. Va. on November 17, 1946, her parents were the late Wilburn Wooten and the late Sylvia Kilgore Wooten.
Mary Ann was a kindergarten teacher for Flemingsburg Elementary for over 20 years. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church where she was active in the choir, taught Sunday school, and volunteered at The Refuge, an afterschool program in downtown Flemingsburg.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Lindberg; her two sons, Alex Lindberg of Cincinnati and William Lindberg (Betina Pickens) of Flemingsburg; her three grandchildren, Isabella (Cody) McCleese, William (Kaitlyn) Lindberg, and Sonnen Lindenwick; and her two great grandchildren, Saraphina and Caliope McCleese. She is also survived by three of her siblings, William Peter “Bud” (Carolyn) Wooten, Victoria (Donald) McCleese, and Jane (Paul) Thompson; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her father Wilburn and her mother Sylvia, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Wooten.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Pastor Trent Keeton officiating.
Visitation will be 12 noon, until the hour of service at 2 p.m., Thursday, at the church.
