Michael Angelo Garcia

Michael Angelo Garcia, 30, of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Born in Houston on August 23, 1993, he was the beloved son of Ava Puente.

In addition to his mother Ava, Michael Angelo is survived by five of his siblings, Roman Pecina, Adam Pecina, Vanessa (Leonel) Luna, Marcos (Tiffany) Hernandez, and Juan (Erica) Garcia.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Maria Puente; his uncle, Fidencio Puente (Shirley Wells); his aunt, Laura Puente (Andy Gonzalez); his aunt, Mary Puente (Rajhuan Lofton); his 12 cousins, Kosha (Jamey) Bishop, Martin (Ashley) Puente, Bobbi Puente, Carmelo Puente, Alanna Puente, Julian Puente, Braylan Puente,  Elian Gonzalez (Grace Ellis), Elisa Gonzalez, Elia Gonzalez, Mauricio Ocampo, and Kaeron Steward.  His nephews and nieces who survive him include Isaac, Elijah, and Natalia Pecina; Cameron, Crayden, and Casen Hernandez; Tatiana, Evelyn, and Francisco Pecina; Jose and Andres Juarez; Anthony and Santiago Lezama; and Sebastian Luna.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Blanca Puente; his grandfather, Antonio “Tony” Jiminez; and his grandfather, Fransisco Puente.

The funeral service for Michael Angelo will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Kilbourn-Huey officiating.

Michael Angelo will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Roman Pecina, Adam Pecina, Marcos Hernandez, Juan Garcia, Jose Juarez, Andres Juarez, Aldo Rivera, and Andy Gonzalez.  Honorary pallbearers include his brother-in-law, Leonel Luna; and his three nephews, Anthony Lezama, Santiago Lezama, and Sebastian Luna.

Visitation will be open to the public at 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Sunday, at Boone Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
