Patricia “Patty” Jane Rawlings, 76, of Hillsboro, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky. She was embraced by her son and daughter-in-law here on earth as she passed and was welcomed by Jim, her husband of 55 years, on what would have been their 58th wedding anniversary, as well as her daughter, Natalie, who passed away November 25, 2021.

Patty was born in Morehead on September 13, 1946, to the late Willy Clayton Roberts and the late Lena Catherine Lambert Roberts.

Patty was a hard worker who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest with her grace, gratitude, and a little sass! She has had several accomplishments in her life, whether it was raising her two amazing children, Natalie and JT, working in tobacco with her family on their farm, working with children during her time at Fleming County Schools until she retired, owning her own country store with her best friend Glenna Lewis, and watching her grandson, Mason, grow into a bright, strong young man (who loved his Nannie). Not only was Patty a mom of two, she was like a mom to so many of her children’s friends as well.

Patty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, JT and Julia Rawlings of Ringos Mill, Ky.; her grandson and the light of her life, Mason Ayres of New York, NY; her brother, Lanny Roberts of Lancaster, Ohio; her special aunt, Shelia Souder of Fla.; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other family members and close friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, James “Jim” Rawlings, her precious daughter Natalie Rawlings Ayres, and her brother, Wade Douglas “Dougie” Roberts.

Patty and her family are being cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Arrangements are private.
