Richard Ray “Dick” Sagraves, 73, of Flemingsburg, passed away, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his residence.
Born in London, Ohio on April 5, 1949, he was the son of the late William Sagraves and the late Wanda Pitts Sagraves.
Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1968-1972, serving during Vietnam. He was retired from General Motors. He was a contractor and also a maintenance supervisor for Ridgeway Apartments..
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sandy Muse Sagraves, his four children, Chris (Laura) Sagraves of Xenia, Oh., William “Billy” Sagraves of Jamestown, Oh., April (Clayton) Zehring of Independence, Ky., and Ricky Sagraves of Independence, Ky.; along with several grandchildren. He is also survived by his first wife and mother of three of his children, Becky Perry of Florence; his four siblings, Don (Shirley) Sagraves of New Braufels, Tex., Joe (Liz) Sagraves of Beavercreek, Oh., Rick Sagraves of Fairborn, Oh., and Pam (Dennis) Schumacher of Dayton, Oh.
In addition to his parents William and Wanda, Dick was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Muse.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Doughton and Bro. Jerry Fyffe officiating.
Dick will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.
W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 will be performing military rites.
Pallbearers include Chris Sagraves, William Sagraves, Ricky Sagraves, Clayton Zehring, Christopher Sagraves, and Deidre Itskin.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at Boone-Nickell.
