Wanda Stone

Wanda Ellen Stone, 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at UK Bluegrass Hospice in Lexington.

Born in Lewis County on November 26, 1936, her parents were the late Clyde R. Kegley and the late Etta Christine Jones Kegley.

Wanda loved her family deeply and was a loving wife and caregiver to her husband, William.  She was an active member of her church, Family Worship Center and was a dedicated prayer warrior.  In life and in death, Wanda was fearless. 

Wanda is survived by her husband of 67 years, William J. Stone; her five children, Linda Combs, Kathy Bell, Donna Lindsey and husband Tim, William R. Stone and wife Pam, Amanda Reid and husband Tommy; her eight grandchildren, Tamara Gray, Tina Line, Tanessa Randall, Michele Emmons, Matthew McClanahan, Timothy Lindsey, Roman Nickerson, Seth Fogleman; her 27 great grandchildren; and her one great, great grandchild.  She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Fite; along with many extended family members and church family. 

In addition to her parents Clyde and Christine, Wanda was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Shane Ward; and her infant daughter, Diana Christine Stone.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. David Hickerson and Bro. Danny Howard officiating. 

Wanda will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell.
