Wanda Vise

Wanda Lewis Storey Vise, 84, of Ringos Mills, Ky. passed away peacefully, at her home on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, after an extended illness.

Wanda was born March 11, 1939, to the late Harlan and Lela Manning Storey. 

Throughout her life, Wanda was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She spent her days nurturing her family, and caring for their every need. Wanda loved to cook, and took great pride in providing for her loved ones. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters and sisters. She was also an avid reader, and passed on a passion for learning to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Wanda was a very active member of Hillsboro Homemakers until her health would not allow her to attend meetings and gatherings. Wanda was devoted to her faith and dedicated many years to worship at Ringos Mills Christian Church where she made life long and lasting friendships.  

Wanda is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill Vise: her four children, Kenny (Mary) Vise, Robyn Vise Goldy (Johnny), Anthony (Dana) Vise, and Revalee Vise Hardy (Jamie Johnson); her three grandchildren, Kenda Vise Flack, Rachel Goldy, Warren Hardy; and four great grandchildren, Talon Peters, Grayson Flack, Paisley Hardy, and Clay Hardy.   She is also survived by her three sisters, Ruby Creech, Teresa Gartin, Marilyn Peck Raskay; her brother, Carl Day Storey; along with her many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents Harlan and Lela, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Julian Storey.

Graveside service will  begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Hillsboro Cemetery with Bro. Mike Vise officiating.

Pallbearers include Kenny Vise, Anthony Vise, Warren Hardy, Johnny Goldy, Jamie Johnson, and Lucas Pelayo. Honorary pallbearers include her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren:  Kenda Flack, Rachel Goldy, Talon Peters, Grayson Flack, Paisley Hardy, and Clay Hardy.
