Woodie Lemoines Boling, 82, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his home.
Born in Fleming County on January 29, 1941, he was the son of the late Winifred Lemoines Boling and the late Anna Lee Ishmael Boling.
Woodie retired from Randall Textron after 43 years of service. He was a graduate of the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, Ky. He loved 1948 and 1949 Dodge trucks, John Deere, and the UK Wildcats. He loved being in church and when he was no longer able to attend, he would watch his brother, Jerry, preach on Facebook and watch church shows on television.
Woodie is survived by his two children, Kristie J. Boling and Lewis Edward Boling; his grandchild, Kyle Boling; six of his siblings, Leonard Lee Boling, Kenneth F. (Carolyn) Boling, Velma Newsom, Carolyn B. (Bob) Moreland, Gerald D. (Karen) Boling, and Rev. Jerry D. (Phyllis) Boling; his nieces and nephews; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Woodie was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Thomas Boling.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Boling officiating.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Sunday, at Boone-Nickell.
